Eric J. Schmitt, MD
Eric J. Schmitt, MD graduated with honors in Biomedical Engineering from the University of California, San Diego. He earned his medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine before completing Pediatric Residency training at Washington University of St. Louis and Brown University. Dr. Schmitt was board certified by the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and was a practicing pediatrician when he relocated to Dallas for his Allergy / Immunology fellowship at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. Dr. Schmitt completed his fellowship training and was board certified by the American Board of Allergy and Immunology (ABAI) in 2005 when he began working as an allergist. His mission has been to provide superior and compassionate care in allergy, asthma, and clinical immunology for families in North Texas. Dr. Schmitt is the founding physician of Frisco Allergy & Asthma Center and head of the allergy division of Longevity Physician Specialists. He embraces the tenets of evidence-based medicine in his clinical practice. Dr. Schmitt remains an active member of national, state, and local professional organizations including the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology (AAAAI), the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology (ACAAI), Texas Allergy, Asthma and Immunology Society (TAAIS) and the Dallas County Medical Society (DCMS). Dr. Schmitt has resided with his wife and two daughters in Frisco since 2009. His favorite pastimes include travel, cycling and running....particularly alongside his Boston Terrier.
Amanda Thomas, PA-C
Amanda Thomas, PA-C, graduated from Baylor University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Pyschology. She then earned a Masters degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Rehabilitation Counseling Psychology. She worked as a counselor for patients with chronic pain for several years, before returning to the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center and graduated with Masters of Physician Assistant Degree in 2013. She is currently certified through the NCCPA. Amanda has worked as a Physician Assistant in both Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine clinics. She has been working at Frisco Allergy & Asthma Center since 2018. She enjoys working with both children and adults to help improve their quality of life. Amanda lives in Frisco with her husband and 3 young children.
